Title: [Help] Resin Keycaps ?
Post by: Aidenknives on Fri, 18 July 2014, 12:39:39
I have seen some video's of resin keycaps just falling right off of MX switches due to resin caps being so loose. I really want this resin keycap sold by feng - http://www.ebay.com/itm/MKC-Blue-Iron-Man-3D-Backlight-Cherry-MX-Keycap-/331023501429?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d1289c875 - but I just want to make sure it will fit nice and snug on my stem so I will have no worries. Any input would be appreciated!

you can put a piece of tape on the key switch then put the keycap on the switch... it just takes a small square, but it'll tighten up the fit enough to keep the key from falling off.

Those really loose resin keycaps were, I think, from the first batch of resin blanks.

Haven't heard similar reports about the Hellboy and Skull resin keycaps that came much later.
