Title: Any IBM M15 users on here?
Post by: microsoft windows on Fri, 18 July 2014, 14:30:19
Anybody here possess or use the IBM Model M15 keyboard? I have memories of those commanding quite a premium even five years ago. It's been a while since I've heard about them on here though.

Price has gone down quite a bit, mine was in okay condition and ran about the price of a nice SSK.

They're cool boards but I don't find myself using it all that much, honestly.

Got mined boxed up. It's a good keyboard, but I'm kinda over the ergo thing. Now it's mainly an awesome piece of history.

IIRC four or five years ago they were pretty expensive (say $400-600), then as prices were peaking a number came out of the woodwork and some were going for up to $1600 if condition with very good and you had some perks, like the number pad or original wrist pads, etc. There were a lot of international buyers pushing up the prices. Lately prices have dropped, but you'll still see them going for $500+ for the most part. Market has definitely slowed down.

That's interesting. I'd have figured that their prices would've gone through the roof at this point.

I remember seeing them go for $400 back in 09 and I thought that was expensive.
