It is made for GH60 rev.b,but not only for it

Still broken for me.

Try imgur.com if it's not blocked in China. I could upload them for you as well, but not without your permission.

好的,我试试
-
我在美国,可以看见。很好!

This looks interesting... Not too sure if I am keen on having 2 wires coming out of my board.
-
Well, now that's a novel concept. A switch plate made from a PCB, with surface mount LEDs on it! Nice. :)
-
Looks interesting...
If the GH60 had a daughter-board connector it could be done without the extra cable!
-
Could also be pretty sweet for original Poker owners...add a plate and backlighting at the same time.
-
What a novel idea for backlighting! I love it!
I hope it's not too expensive: it looks awesome.
-
That is amazing. Awesome idea.
-
First few images are broken for me but the bottom ones are fine.
Looking very very nice :D
-
If you can't eliminate light-bleed, embrace it ...
-
Still broken for me :(

 What a great idea!

-using a PCB as plate means a weak plate. Most people like strong plates. Considering how fussy many geekhackers are with their acrylic and metal casings, I think a 'plate' that is less than 100% rigid will be unpopular. Author should pay attention to the strength of his plate/ pcb.
Most of the earlier pictures are still broken. I am outside China.

There's no reason you couldn't make an acrylic plate to go above it or to usr PCB mount switches with it.

You're right. I think users should be aware that the PCB-plate thing works best if combined with a transparent acrylic plate.
Author of OP really has hit on an excellent innovation. This PCB 'mounting' of leds works great to diffuse light. I find that way too many people have a glaringly lighted up LED keyboard. This is much more subtle and less intrusive.
-
Yes, if you use this type of plate, you definitely should use PCB mount switches with a PCB that supports them. :)
-
Would we be able to hack on some sort of passthrough on this plate/pcb so that you would only need one cable for this board?
-
:thumb:
-
Something to note: This means that we can have 2 LED colours on keys at the same time
magenta on blue miami anyone?
-
This would have been so much better with RGB Smd leds with a controller.

I don't know if a controller would be able to fit on a plate considering that it would be sandwiched between another PCB and the switches....
However, that would be super cool if we could have customizable colours and LED lighting modes!
-
note that a PCB is much stiffer than most plastics used as plate material. I think this pcb as a plate over PCB mount switches would be plenty tough enough, but it also depends on how well they are connected together at the sides.
-
A plate in a Poker or GH60 is not a structural part, so its toughness is no big concern. Fibreglass is quite strong. You could use much flimsier materials and it would not do any difference.

PCB很韧性,很有弹性,手感奇妙,算是一种尝试吧
其实定位版(Plate)在60%键盘上大多是用来防止MX轴歪掉,其实和钢质相比真的差别不大
至少我是这样认为的
:)

I think this is a great idea.
