I have used generic mousepads (like $5-10) for most of my PC history. My current one is getting rather ratty, so i'm looking for a new one. I don't have much room for a mousepad on my keyboard tray, so a small one would be preferable. Do non-generic mousepads have a noticeable difference, and if so any good recommendations? I do have arthritis and tendinitis, so that might factor in to the mousepad selection, but should not be limited to that parameter. I do have a keyboard wrist rest. Thank You.

If I wanted a super wide mousepad that I could put my keyboard (up to a TKL) on, what would I want?

The Corsair MM200 extended perhaps?

The Razer Goliathus has been my end all be all mousepad for a very long time now. I've been using a desklength for almost 4 years and I have a medium size that I throw in my laptop sleeve to take with me everywhere.

Sounds like an intriguing offer, maybe I can bite once I have sufficient money.

Years ago when I made the mistake of buying a Razer Lachesis mouse on release I went through a ton of mousing surfaces before I realized the sensor had serious design flaws (and of course you can't even buy the mouse any more, good riddance). I found that Steelseries mouse pads work well, and are available in a variety of sizes. They're my favorite cloth/rubber backed flexible mouse pad.
I've always been curious about the CS Hyde Company mouse pads, such as the C4-NGen, which are rubber backed, rigid top layer pads where the entire surface is teflon. I've never tried it, but I imagine mouse movement would be pretty effortless! http://c4mousepads.com (http://c4mousepads.com)

I love my Corsair MM600 and yellow Ducky OMG mousepads :D

I'd say get an Artisan pad, but they never last too long for me. They are however very nice, and there's a lot of options on surface type. Mionix makes some good cloth pads, and so does Steelseries.
BTW - I am a cloth pad man for life, so if you aren't just ignore this post :)

I've used Steelseries QCK series and have the NA'VI edition QCK+ that's downright huge. The Razer Goliathus mousepads are also highly regarded where I'm from.

I've been using a XTRAC PADS Ripper XXL for a couple years, its held up well. There is some slight separation near the mouse now though. I've been looking to grab something new but I haven't decided if I want to buy another Ripper or try something like the corsair or razer.
