Linky (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Packard-Bell-Key-Board_W0QQitemZ250433317616QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Computing_ComputerComponents_KeyboardsMice?hash=item3a4efd2af0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A10%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50)

Looks like it's early 90s at the latest, can anyone identify it?

I'm not sure, but it looks vaguely like the Dell version of the AT-101W.

wow that other one was sold for $79. Are these blue alps as rare as the pink alps? What makes it worth so much money?

Pretty much any color other than white and black (real) Alps are pretty rare.  I think there is some info in the Wiki about what the differences between the different colors is (like one of them is linear; yellow, I think), but I couldn't tell you what the differences are off the top of my head.

The board  was  made  by Forward. see this page  (http://sandy55.fc2web.com/keyboard/forward_pb.html).
Mine came with white ALPSs.  switches and the face plate of my board were in very bad condition so I repainted  the face plate and swapped whole switches to orange alps harvested  from APPLE m0115.

This one still doesn't have any bids on it, so it looks like if anyone's interested they'll be getting it for fairly cheap.

It went for £6, if any geekhacker got it I'd be interested to hear which type of alps it had.

Uh? If I click the auction link it shows only one bid for the opening price of £1.99

Edit, ok ok maybe you meant including shipping within UK.

Yeah, when the delivery is twice the price of the item it doesn't make much sense not to include it, and I assume it's gone to someone in the UK as the listing says "dispatches to: UK".

TBH I did contact the seller and asked if he was willing to ship outside UK, he said it was fine. He also said the keyboard was clicky, so it's probably got white or blue Alps.
For a moment I thought of bidding to get a taste of clicky Alps. Then I realized I am already stacking up too many keyboards I don't use and I would never use one with US layout keyboard AND keypad.
I couldn't risk "the look" on this one. Maybe on a HHKB.... :)
