*Fire opens the thread thinking it will be a very in depth and detailed review*

*Reads*

*Fire's face* ._.

Well then best go burn my keyboards and buy a HHKB now then.

But in all seriousness is this just a troll thread or is it just a placeholder for a very detailed review? I hope the latter :x

we here at bunnylake reviews aim to offer the most comprehensive reviews available, and i would be very interested to hear what details you feel are left out of this review, i have tried to split it up in to sections to make for easier reading, the sections being, pros, cons and then a conclusion to sum up my thoughts, these sections are broken up and signified with bold text

i look forward to seeing your response

Dear Bunnylake

I believe I have found what is missing from the quite informative review you have posted, my main concerns are that the review is biased towards the HHKB and has been conducted without a comparison, it would be nice to know what it compares to in regards to more accessible keyboards.

I would also like information on the feet of the product and how well the cope with staying put whilst typing, on a standard surface then on other surfaces such as glass, polished wood, fabric (Mouse mat style) as detailed in a different review linked here
More
http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=60993.0

Also a look at build quality would be nice as well, and a look into what it is like after a year or more of use, as I am sure you have one that has been well used by now if this could be done it would greatly improve the review.

Now as much as I love you bunny and I do, just sort of get the feeling this has only been posted due to the HHKB review below this showing a few flaws with it, but I don't think this belongs here in all fairness.

I will stop as I don't wish to become a pariah, inside geekhack :x

But I actually would like to know, how the feet are on different surfaces and if they do slip.

we here at bunnylake reviews do not read other reviews until after we ourselves have reviewed that product, as we wouldnt want outside info to cloud our otherwise impeccable judgement

i would like to address some of your points though

in regards to the feet, this was addressed in the initial review, they are in the pros column, marked under the term "everything"

to go a bit more in depth, we have tried the feet on several surfaces, ranging from glass, wood and cloth, firstly i would like to say the board performed flawlessly on all surfaces, however i will give you an accurate rundown

cloth (mousepad) - flawless experience, no movement
wood (desk) - flawless experience, no movement whilst typing, can move when some pressure is applied with the intention to move the keyboard
glass (desk) - flawless experience, no movement whilst typing, can move when some pressure is applied with the intention to move the keyboard

in regards to another reviewer finding some flaws with this product, i would have to say without reading said review i am suspect of there intentions, having both used and reviewed this product, we have come to the comclusion it is perfect, perhaps this other reviewer may in fact be a patsy put in place by a rival company

Useful information thank you, so it's like a Poker II in that sense, good to know.

Uhh Uhh okaaaay then, so it's all a conspiracy then? Keyboard Illuminati?  *Trys to summon Tac stash*

Also could I ask why the product is misrepresented with the wrong escape key, as I'm fairly sure that by default does not come with the keyboard, but maybe I'm nitpicking :)

Anyway I wish you luck with the reviewing side of things, although I believe reviews should be first and foremost unbiased

How do you feel about getting a cookie that says Topre Sucks :p But if you do actually make a real honest review on a HHKB with flaws and all showing, I will buy you a I <3 Topre cookie, Deal? :D

I try with RF87U Uniform 45g lubed with Krytox103, it's more smooth than before but i like Vintage Black lubed and stickered with 60-62g Korean springs than Topre but it's only my opinion :P

In my eyes Bunny can do no wrong BUT this reeeview of a HHKB is somewhat biased because he has never used a REALFORCE TKL 55g keyboard.

Once you use that keyboard then I expect a similar review as this one here but ONLY better  :thumb: .

Elrick, 'biased' does not mean "written as if straight from God", but that's okay.  I forgive you.

Also, he owns a Realforce 55g.  But again, forgiven.

So Bunny likes 45g instead of the firmness of 55g  ::) ?

Surprising considering most who have used 55g swear that they will always stay with that switch capacity rather than going back to the lesser one.

Ironically I think the stock HHKB is quite mediocre.  The board is too loud and the huge bump you get from the domes is quite annoying if you're used to lighter, smoother switches like linear/tactile MXs.  However, the krytox'd and dental modded topres I got to try at Keycon were a much different story and one of the best typing experiences I've had in a while.

i have 7 55g topre boards sir

3 of those being realforce

i guess ill speak on a serious note about my feelings on 55g topre on various boards, firstly, with a realforce, i would never use 45 over 55, 55g just feels right and makes sense on a metal plate, and i think that as an enthusiast community we could probably say that is the popular opinion, however when it comes to hhkbs, my opinion differs, again i think the popular opinion is here on gh that 55g topre is always better, and i think thats mainly because people are conditioned to think that, i currently have 4 55g hhkbs and more 45 g ones, and although i do use the 55g from time to time, and they are not bad (its pretty hard to make a hhkb bad, although dental banding it is pretty close) i just feel like 45 is magic on a hhkb, for people who have only tried 45 on a realforce, and that has put them off a stock hhkb, dont let it, they are a totally different experience.  to me, the 45g realforce experience its very meh, sorta mushy and leaves me pretty cold

ive tried many hhkb mods, and as it turns out i think they just got it pretty spot on right out of the box for me, i will say, however i have 2 boards i use the most, which are

hhkb pro 2 stock
hhkb type s lubed and 55g domes

i feel the type s benefits more from the heavier domes than the standard model, but again, all this is personal preference

the point being, i have a lot of experience with topre, both stock and modded, and although i can certainly enjoy a 55g realforce, there is something about a hhkb that just sings to me, another point id like to make some people may consider a positive some may consider a negative, but to me i love it, whereas almost every real force i have owned or tried is about the same on a model by model basis, all my hhkbs have a little character, they all have a little quirk or something ever so slightly different to offer, something that makes each one unique, to me its a no compromises board i love

For myself I just kept buying all Realforce type of keyboards because I developed an outright hatred for anything connected to HHKB like keyboards.  First off they are way to small in layout.  Who could use a calculator sized keyboard that I could fit in my back pocket?

Thorpie is best used in a TKL because that is the most comfortable, plus no need to use any FN function which I still despise.  Because if you don't put all the necessary functions up front then you don't need to ferret out the extra functions to use the rest of the keyboard.

Also I hate to buy one and might come to a horrible conclusion that it actually might be usable.  Best to be ignorant and avoid anything to do with HHKB's  :thumb: .
