Oh sheeee, son. Dayummmm. Even though they've finally done what I've wanted since they first announced the 660c, and I eventually caved and bought their printed black, I probably won't pull the trigger until they give me blanks.

Get both because the Novatouch is a different layout compared to this smaller one.

Like that they have decided to go for the traditional 2-tone set like all previous keyboards. Maybe they want more interest from the conservatives out there, because this one will be added to my Thorpie collection (which I still despise) >:( .

That's what I'm wanting to know also.

The price on Leopold's site is the same as the first dyesub FC660C, so about $220. Purchase options will be EK (best bet; they got the other models pretty fast), eBay exporters, or shopping services. Best to wait for EK if possible or you'll probably pay out the ass.

I think it's pretty safe to assume it's 45g, like all other FC660Cs. However, as I've posted about many times before, the newer FC660Cs are very close to RF 55g, despite being designated as 45g.

Thanks. That main image won't load for me at all in Chrome. Loads in Firefox though. Now I know.

On a sidenote: I PM'd Hendy about 660Cs some days ago. He said he's trying to get them but can't promise anything. Maybe he'll try to get the white version if we bother him enough :)

My fault for asking him to sell it on his website, sure enough he fronted. Nothing better than buying from someone that actually supplies Thorpie gear to everyone around the world (also bought from him the Realforce Key-caps).

Making this so difficult, I was shooting for a RF 87u 55g in white, but now with this it's making it impossible to choose between them. The form factor of the Leopold is delicious.
I may end up going with RF 55g because it sits flatter on the desk. I remember appreciating how low-profile it was compared to other boards, including the 660...

But yes it is a hard decision indeed!

I agree about the arrows kind of looks like big blob of dark grey over on that side of the board. Still love the board though.

There are very few whiter than white keyboards - most "white" ones are off-white, or slightly beige.

Yep, very true. Leopold especially has a history of releasing slightly beige white keyboards.

If you are looking for true white, the ones I know are keycool and limited editions of duckies and quickfire TK. And then you can always try acrylic custom cases if that's your thing.

Yeah I hate it when they find out, then out comes the list of priorities that I should address first........fvcking wives and their sense of reality ::) .

Lucky only spent for 2 key-sets thus far but will think about getting the 'tiny' keyboard later on, BECAUSE realforce still rules in the thorpie world.

Post by: Grim Fandango on Wed, 30 July 2014, 10:24:09: I needed another Topre keyboard since my brother confiscated the one I have at home. In the end I ended up getting the Realforce 87U all-45g. I was not willing to spend the $280 x 1.19 (Yes, our Dutch customs charges VAT over the shipping charge as well) + $customs fee by importing this keyboard (350 dollars). Then also having it arrive by the end of next month somwhere (our customs can easily add a week or more).

With my keyboards being at 2 working places... I am now typing on a Logitech wireless keyboard with Chiclet keys >:D

I think widebasket has a few up on eBay. A little spendy after shipping from Korea, but with EK not planning to stock them, it's your best bet.

Edit: Whoops, you said normal FC660C. Widebasket still might have some of those, I know he has the white version and the dyesubbed version.

A lightly used 55g 87u has a very strong resell value in the classified section, and I have no doubts that a white FC660C will as well. Of course reselling is a bit of a hassle, so it might only be worth it to go down this road if you are truly torn.
