I'll add a Tsangan kit (kat) option just for you.
Welcome to GeekHackungry
Okay, KitKats are cool, and all, but what else ya got? Any int'l peeps want to weigh in here for us uninitiated? These were always my favorite...but they aren't that hard to get here in the states. My mom would always get them for me from chinese grocery stores.
Also, I run KitKat on two phones...

I'm also interested in what other people think we should try...but I think one problem might be that they might not know what we don't have in the states. I know I'm usually surprised when I see people(outside the US) get carepackages from the US because it seems like everyday stuff to me, only to find out they don't have it there.

1300+ posts and no GBs? I'd say that's absurd!

Shhh, just supply me with snacks Hoffbro
No love for Twix?
:p
Another update: we will be purchasing M&Ms from bueller (huge thanks for helping us Americans out!), for an estimated price of $2.50 per 160g bag (subject to change). These bags are larger than the original estimated size of "small". Please take this into consideration when deciding how many you will want! I suspect that the counts for M&Ms will drop drastically, but that is fine. All that matters is that the interest exists. And this isn't the GB phase yet anyway, so no worries. I'm considering M&Ms "MOQ Met" for the time being.
More updates to come on the Kit Kat front.

There have been a lot of exotic Twix flavors, several UK exclusive, but I don't know what's available. The only countries I've ever traveled to weren't the sort that are known for their candy. :(

It's a long shot ... any interesting snacks that are 0g carbs/sugar? Thought I'd ask...

Heh, GeekSnack.
Perhaps if people are up for it, us Canadian members here can help out.

It seems like most of this stuff is from Asian countries which I have access to pretty easily where I live. Are there any interesting snacks from anywhere else that we're considering? I really have no idea what snacks are out there but figured I'd ask.Crisps will be tricky, chances are the bag will pop when sent by plane.
Different chips/crisps sounded appealing.

Halverson has volunteered to help us out with the Coffee Crisps, so we should be good, but if something comes up I will keep you in mind as a backup. ;)
This is good... but I am wondering if just running an exchange ongoing may make more sense? Get Asia, Europe, and etc treats from international members and send them US stuff back type of thing? That way everyone gets some nice things they don't easily/cheaply have or have at all locally.
I'd like to get in on this. But Hoffman, I could add to this as well with some local candy such as drop (Dutch superior liquorice), stroopwafels (caramel waffles) and the space variety (stroopwafels covered in extra caramel and chocolate).

I myself could supply local sweet and salty liquorices and maybe some weird things like tar candies.

OHMYGOD YES. Are you in the Netherlands? I assumed you were CONUS.
How do you deal with the melting issue?

DID SOMEONE SAY STROOPWAFELS. I WANT MORE. I had them once in a food truck in NYC and I regret not having seconds.

I never found it necessary to state where I am from. Leaves room for some fun conversations. :P
I will probably not have the time and funds to buy anything before the end of the month but I would gladly empty a couple of local supermarkets. XP
You obviously liked my suggestions, do you have any other wishes?
After hoff and cpt hyping it up...I think I want to try this stroopwafel thing too :o.

It might be that things need to be timed to avoid some of the hotter temperatures that some places are currently experiencing. I am not sure whether a box of chocolates shipped through normal mail when temperatures are over 30 degrees Celsius will make it without completely melting.
Grim, on a whole other topic of Dutch doing stuff with sugar: ;)Careful man or that awesome lava-filled orion might melt it!

As the Dutch are chipping in, what would you like from Belgium? Chocolats are not easy to sent (huge cost on packaging last time I looked), but we have something called cuberdon https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuberdon (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuberdon).Gentse neuzen? Very nice! They are very tasty but quite heavy. Three of those are sure to make your stomach protest. :D
Cuberdons can only be preserved for about three weeks, after which period the inside begins to crystallize. This limited preservability is the reason why cuberdons are not exported outside of Belgium (According to Wikipedia), but I can always check and maybe try to send of really fresh ones.
Ha! I can assure you that sugar and chocolate won't look half as much fun but be twice as messy as a can of coke being eaten by lavaGrim, on a whole other topic of Dutch doing stuff with sugar: ;)Careful man or that awesome lava-filled orion might melt it!

And how about speculaas? Ideal for all coffee addicts as it accompanies it rather well.
Me too, but I experienced that this is not always the case. I see a lot of tourists buying this in Bruges, so I guess there must be differences. And how about speculaas? Ideal for all coffee addicts as it accompanies it rather well.
I always assumed people had their own version of speculaas in other places as well. Oh man.
Wait, are we requesting amount orders already, or just thinking of ideas/expressing interest?
Haven't forgotten about this, just working out the most cost efficient way of shipping everything. Pretty sure if I keep each package under 2kg it will save a fairly decent amount of money.

Just expressing interest. I'm just keeping rough tallies to note which items are definitely popular enough to warrant a purchase. :thumb:Haven't forgotten about this, just working out the most cost efficient way of shipping everything. I was anticipating you would just send everything over to me in bulk and I would divy it up and add in the kit kats and things from other locations to send to the US people in one package. Or do you have a different idea that would be better?

Oh yeah that was my plan too but our postal system is bull****. Anything over 2kg pretty much doubles the shipping cost so I'll just need to split them all up across a few different boxes to keep them under 2kg.
Speaking of foreign sweets. I just bought 25 packs of Maltesers from Amazon. They are british Malt balls 100x better than the stupid stuff here in U.S.
One thing they do that is really smart is that they ship their product with ice packs so they dont melt. Maybe we can do something similar.
So... how's it going?
The M&M deal seems like it may not work out.(http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/817/449/17d.png)
Find out MOQ from nestle LOL.
Could you guys send stuff down here to Brazil in a boomerang or something like that? Cause I'm down with the Passion Fruit KK.
Maybe they will just stop being silly and only offering things in certain regions for no damn reason.
Everyone! I want to update this thread so you guys know I haven't forgotten. And because I have information to share, I suppose.
I'm back from travelling and have some Coffee Crisps in hand. It's nowhere near enough for this GB, but it did help me confirm that they are freaking delicious.
I also have some preliminary pricing information, but only for the Coffee Crisps.
Halverson is able to purchase a case of 48 bars for around $30 (maybe $35?), and can ship them to me for *hopefully* $25. (I did say this is very preliminary pricing info)
That means that the price to me is $1.25 per bar. (rounding up from $1.15, to account for unexpected fees)
Everyone involved in the buy would obviously also have to pay shipping fees to their doors, but does this price range seem appealing to people? I know that I'm willing to pay it personally, because they're so delicious, but I need some feedback from you guys.
Also, does anyone in Canada have any leads on places to get these boxes cheaper?

Is he getting them from Costco? If I remember correctly, the 48 pack is roughly $30 as you stated. My membership just expired, so I'll need to renew before I can test that out.
So there is a dollar store near me that sells full sized chocolate bars for $0.67. Maybe asking one of them if they would do a deal for a whole box?

Dollar stores and their food are usually creeping closer to the best before date. If you happen to try this (and I can check locally as well), we just need to make sure we're getting that's not going to hamper the quality for our fellow GHers.
So, since halloween is coming around the corner, apparently "halloween edition" coffee crisps are out again. :PShow Image(https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8446/7982777739_bed00c5f66_z.jpg)

My girlfriend just bought some BlackMlik (Australian clothing) and she got sent Tim Tams.
THESE THINGS ARE GOOD
I suggest we get Tim Tams!
I'm not sure the difficulty of this or interest but just thought id throw it out there if it wasnt out there already.
I'm interested in the less common flavors like Salted Caramel and Raspberry :p

The flavored Tim Tams kind of suck to be honest, when I've had them they've tasted super artificial. Can't beat the original.
You sure you can't get Tim Tams in the USA? We get them imported here in Canada. I missed them so much from when I was a kid back in NZ, so I was super happy to find them here!As far as I know, World Market is the only store here that sells them. They only have these to choose from:
After that, I will eat them. And then make some decisions regarding this GB.
I am very interested in all Kit Kat flavors except Green Tea (have access to that already).Welcome to Geekhack! Solid choice starting out with an interest check for your first post, you'll soon know the way of wallethack :)) :thumb:
