Title: UK source for replacement Model-M keycaps?
Post by: jacklooman on Fri, 05 June 2009, 10:41:33
Hi,

I have a couple of Models M keyboards and I've been trying to track down replacement keycaps - they sell them on clickykeyboards, but they want $30 (!) to ship to the UK, so I was wondering if there's a better source out there?

Apologies if this has been discussed before - I did a search and couldn't come up with anything.

It's a good question.  I think you would be best off finding a "parts-only" (good luck) or other cheap Model M in your area for a donor.  Beyond that, you might have to just eat the shipping costs from Unicomp, especially if you want black caps.

Thanks, I kinda suspected it would be like that. Back to trolling the thrift shops, I guess. :)
