Title: Windowed caps lock keys? Numlocks?
Post by: Blackehart on Thu, 07 August 2014, 18:41:35
Why do so few (almost none) of the group buys have said windowed keys?
It seems like the vast majority of mechanical boards (prebuilts) have an led under the caps lock key.

Why not an option for a windowed caps lock key?

This is a good question.

I think It may be because a lot of boards don't have backlights. Possibly.

But I am wondering the same too. A couple of boards I have use LEDs on the lock keys, but I think the V60 has the LED in a weird place. It might be more complex than just adding the window.

But what do I know.

I think it has a lot to do with cost, MOQ and sometimes lack of tooling depending on vendor.

That is something I had not even thought about. But it is a very good point.

These are pretty much my reasons for not offering such.
