Hello, I am just wondering if there is any interest for a THICK PBT Engraved keycaps set, in either black or white, or both.
They would be from IMSTO, so it'll be the nice thick PBT that everyone likes.
They would look similar to these, but these are thin PBT, sorry for the poor photo.

They would be complete white or black sets, including numpad.
Engraved keycaps don't get dirty easily, and if they do, it's easy to clean with a toothbrush, while maintaining a stealth look.

how about an option for dyesubbed pbt from imsto? these looks good as well tho :)

Can we get a blank option? Thick blank PBT is so impossible to find in black and it will contribute to the MOQ without adding any difficulty.
Also do you know if they're able to provide a 1.75x short shift?

i think engraved pbt would be hard to reach the MOQ however dyesub and blanks from imsto is certainly able to get the MOQ

I don't think the demand for dyesub or blank sets is really there, after Ivan's Round 3 GB.

well, lots of people didn't get into ivan's r3 gb. and dyesub beige/white imstos are always a hot choice :)

Thanks for the replies, I'm getting in touch with IMSTO to figure out what the MOQ is.
Unfortunately, this interest check is strictly for thick PBT keycaps (choice of black or white) to be engraved, since engraving requires a MOQ.
I will inquire about getting blank keycaps that aren't engraved, as I feel that would probably contribute to the MOQ, but I'm not sure about dyesub.

I just hope Imsto can engrave the keys with Cherry font.

I just heard back from IMSTO.
Apparently, we are going to need a MOQ of 500 for EACH colour (for engraving)... so that brings this IC to a conclusion, as I don't think it's a realistic MOQ.
I enjoyed our brief moment of brainstorming.

Well you can keep the IC going... If there is enough interest I will consider offering the option on my next round. It may be worthwhile to split up the MOQ between blank, dyesub and engrave.

It kinda sounds like he's saying it isn't even possible to split up the MOQ.

How it works is there is a MOQ of keycaps in bulk from the factory. They all come blank then go to another party for dyesub, laser, engrave. I deal with imsto on these things before so I know what can be done.

Ahh fair enough. I knew you dealt with him before. Just didn't know if engraving was a different matter (as I believe I've only seen you with dyesubs). I thought he meant it was a moq for the engraving process, not sourcing of the keycaps.

Apparently its the engraving process, not keycaps that require the 500 MOQ. Then again Ivan could know something I don't, could you clarify?

It's been a very long time since I asked about it (I had wanted to do engraved set in runes at one point). Perhaps somethings changed. If that is what imsto is telling you then it is the case.
