Were you able to boot it up properly? From your hardware, it's unlikely that you would overlook and you can't. Any pictures?

Step 1: Is it still broken?

If yes, fix it.

If no, have a nice day.

A good cold re-boot is always the place to start.

I am getting more frequent boot problems and am looking with dread toward a full format/re-install (aka "nuke and pave").

All components of hardware and software are 2-3+ years old on this install.
