Title: Hakko 888D $70 at Fry's
Post by: nubbinator on Sat, 09 August 2014, 17:03:59: I've been wanting to upgrade my soldering station to something nicer and have been keeping my eye on Fry's since I know the Hakko 888D goes on sale there every now and then. Well, they finally went back down to $70. A great price if you just need the iron, have a Fry's locally, and don't want to wait for one to ship to you.

I think at this point I might just opt for mkawa's kit on geekhackers, I figure it's one of the better options for someone like me who is just starting to learn about soldering.
