So I am about to sell my GON at cost to my friend, after carefully lubing all the switches, replacing the springs, doing all the soldering myself for hours because I just realized something. I am almost never truly content with any keyboard, it seems like my goal is tor try a whole bunch of different keyboards and keycap sets, and then move onto something new. I'm constantly hunting classifieds for good deals, and for people who might want to buy my old collection. Currently rotated to a HHKB2, but that will be sold most likely once I get my Duck Viper.
Anyone else have a similar experience with keyboards?

i have a similar experience with just about everything else. keyboards i tend to stick with unless something comes up. keycaps on the other hand will be my ultimate downfall.

I tend to rotate between the boards I own on a monthly cycle. It's been the linear lefthand KMAC this month since it's so nice for gaming, next up I've had the hankering for my Filco with blues. I just need more thick PBT keysets so that I don't have to rotate my sets around!

I can't seem to stop using my RF87u 55g as my daily driver. That may change when I get my Duck Eagle built. So far nothing has been able to compare to the feels of this board. It's just bliss to type on. I really wish I could find something that rivals the feels of it.

About the only keyboard I have stuck with for any length of time is this QFS with MX greens at work.
And that is really only because I cbf carrying another keyboard all the way in on the train (and taking this one back).
However I prefer to keep a few keyboards around, and apart from the one with MX reds, I like pretty much all of them. The KeyCool with MX reds is on my server, which doesn't get much use. MX reds are too light for me.

A while ago, I sold all my boards save two of them and thought I was done. Stopped coming on GH. Stopped worrying about boards. I was content with what I had.
Yeah, that didn't last.
I'm back to stocking up on a bunch of boards I'll probably never really use for any extended amount of time and eventually they'll get sold off, I figure. It's hard to just not pick up anything, though. Everything looks so nice. :rolleyes: For now, my 22mini is my daily driver and I love it. We'll see if one of the new boards takes its place.
