Seeing those candy-coloured keycaps, hearing the soft clonk of a MX Red switch with PBTs, will I be okay?
Thought I'd make an introduction post. I've been here since 2011, bought a Filco Linear R TKL, PBT keycaps, and felt pretty good about it.
Fast forward to today, I'm back in the hobby, and I can't understand this new-found sensation of browsing all these colourful keycaps and keyboards.
What is this feeling?

It is likely a rash. It should start to sting in a few moments.

feeling of your money slipping away from your wallet :p

Welcome (back?) to Geekhack!
The feeling is called poverty. It affects everyone who is enthusiastic about keyboards.

Man, you guys are way too cynical haha!
Or maybe I haven't been here long enough to understand.
I was thinking more of a feeling of nostalgia, you know, your first time in the candy store as a child. Similarly, seeing old Model Ms remind me of my childhood where my elementary school classrooms had two of them, and kids would take turns during recess and lunch to play Point and Click adventure games (:
Edit: changed a word.

You've been here longer than most GHers, even if you haven't been active all that time :))

True enough! I'm kinda like a NIB Model M :)
On a more serious note, I never expected mechanical keyboards to explode like it did. I still remember browsing EK for keyboards when they had the Clack Factory Candy Corn for sale at an absolutely expensive price of $20 or something.
I thought they were really nice, but being the starving student I was, I thought I could always buy them a few years later, haha, we know how that turned out.
Still hoping to get one of the solid-color red skulls someday. Do they ever get remade? Not sure if the best way is to camp the sales thread or ask around.

Yep - CC has made a few different red Skulls, including Slushy Red and Forgotten Red (which is a nice dark colour).
Camp CC's subforum. Check EK site regularly (in case he does another sale there, been a while since the last one though, which was more of a drawing than a sale).
