One of my friends has a CM Storm Trigger and along with me, he bought an aluminum spacebar about three months ago:

His spacebar arrived today (while mine hasn't yet), but unfortunately, after replacing the old spacebar with the new one, he noticed that the spacebar was loose. And even after replacing it again, even the old spacebar was still loose.

Anyone has any idea as on why this has happened and how to fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Sometimes with the aluminum spacebars you have to bend the pieces that make up the spacebar stem slightly that fit over the stabilizer so it grips it properly.
EDIT: Sorry read that wrong, if it is loose with the original spacebar I'm not sure.

Nevermind, just sent me a message that he managed to fit the old space key...
It seems these aluminum spacebars really have a bad fit and now he's kinda scared to do it again, lol....

Yeah I had the same experience with them as far as bad fit goes.

It's really tough to get metal stems perfect due to shrinkage.

One reason why we need ceramic spacebars.

We do already.. they're called PBT ;)
Well... just my little joke about the surface feeling of PBT. Actually, it's hard to make ceramic items with accuracy due to the shrinkage when sintering... So they would probably turn out even worse.
I'm actually okay with ABS spacebars for the most part. They're lighter, so they match the other keys better (due to the large size) if you have a thick PBT or POM set and in most cases I hit the edge of the bar rather than the top surface, so the texture and feeling of the material matters less than on the other keys. If you flip the bar, though, it's nice to have the same material as all the other caps to keep the feeling consistent, though.
