It's got White Alps which aren't my favorite, but it's a solid board with great build quality. Definitely worth it for the build quality alone, especially if you can get it for closer to $70, which would be a steal for one.

Not likely to do much better.
These are wicked, heavy metal bottom pan, doubleshots!
If you have been collecting blue Alps, this is where they should land.
-
wow sold already... was gonna grab this one too. :(

Wow I can't believe they accepted my offer. Oops.
Anybody want to take a guess at how much I offered?

$50? If you got it for less, I'd be impressed.

Congratulations! Hope you enjoy it. I had one of these years ago, and I really miss it.

Nice workaround, I didn't know about that.
That's a great deal!

Yup that was it! It felt like I was lowballing the seller though.

I have bought 3 of these in the $65-85 shipped range and 2 of them were really nasty and yellow.
The cases Retro-brite pretty well but the keys have been stubborn so far.
Also, look at my description of the straight-PS/2 cable wiring. That makes it much easier.

That's a cool trick! Got any other ones for Ebay?
Congrats Vanilla. I don't have much experience with ALPS (read: none), is this a good one to start with, if not, can you guys recommend some kbs to keep track of?

Buy one of these and keep it.
Try out all the Alps switches until you determine your favorite type, then transplant those switches into this chassis.
