SOLD
The display in question is: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=225-4148
This particular sample has been cleaned regularly with fresh microfiber and klear screen plastic display cleaner. klear screen (aka iklear) is a very gentle cleaner, but can be a bit streaky. in practice, the display looks perfect -- there are no dead pixels or subpixels and the LUT programs without issue.
ISSUES:
- This unit has no stand. I tossed the dell stand and was using an ergotron MX wall-mount which I've sold separately. I highly recommend an ergotron LX or similar for the display.
- Using displayport from a gigabyte ATI Radeon HD7970, I occasionally got odd flashes from the display. They were infrequent and intermittent, but did no interfere with actually using the display. The display is under warranty via Dell for another year and a half if it becomes an issue. I suspect the issue was the video card though.
I'm selling as I'm saving up for a UP3214Q (i've bought into the 4k thing hook line and sinker. hah!).
Asking 400 USD shipped and PP'd to the CONUS

Have you considered the UP2414Q instead? You can get two of them for the same price and almost the same desk space... Bizarrely they sell for quite cheap on ebay.

... I have always imagined you to look like Freddie Mercury. My whole life is a lie.

I'm gonna let someone CONUS jump on this, but if you're still looking in a week Mkawa,
if you'd let me, this Canadian would love this monitor.

yah, i've been reading the reviews for both. anandtech thinks that the DPI is just way too high on the 24s. i have some time to decide though. i'm also leaving just a simple u3014 open. the killer app for 4k is lightroom and photoshop, but for everything else, i'm pretty much fine with standard DPI.
