They're selling it for parts since it's untested.  It may work, it may not, but it's a solid price on one.

My guess is that the 1990 copyright probably indicates dampened cream.

Chances are it still works. I can confirm that a simple S-video cable will work as a replacement.

I've used both cream & salmon, dampened cream are very nice and I would chose them over the latter.
