As a german who finds it hard to get cheap(ish) 2x3x4 LEDs I would be in for any color!Oh man, What would happen if I opened this up to all colours? I think I'd get overrun with orders and have to start a webstore. I'll think on it. This may be the most ambitious way possible of restocking my LED colours. :p
Definitely interested in 100 cyan. If we wanted other colors from the same seller, would we be able to order them with you through the group buy so they can all be bought/shipped together? Totally understandable that anything other than cyan may not come with a bulk discount.

Keep in mind that taobao pricing will not include agent fees, conversion fees, or shipping. I will be talking to the store directly to see if they can get me a deal on bulk pricing. They seem to be one of the better-set-up outfits, so they can probably get me better pricing in large quantity. We'll see.

Ok so what I'm going to do for the actual GB is add colours (whichever ones are hard to get in the US (pink teal skyblue, etc.) plus any ones that are convenient for me to get (same store, etc.) ) and use a form. I'll input whoever's ordered what and keep a tally in the OP. If you add something it'll be easy for me to update it. That's why I quit updating the post here, I'll import it into another post anyway.
people can order whatever qty they want, but if it's not in a multiple of 100, I'll have to count theirs, which means it'll get shipped out last. Up to you on the money vs. time scale.
I am willing to look into cheaper letter shipping to international addresses. Depends on what the post office says. It must be under 0.25" (6.3mm) in total, and if it counts as "rigid" the cost goes up. Also, the leads might get a little bent in the mail sorter. I will let everyone know.

That seems to be common issue. Before we start the GB we should definitely clarify how many LEDs we get. 80 won't be enough for a TKL board...

Overall I tested 30 leds and all worked. I wouldn't be able to comment on quality as I have very little knowledge on leds but they seem well made.
The lighting and color is vibrant powered by a cell battery.
The only disappointing fact is my order wasn't fulfilled correctly I received 80 pcs instead of 100.
Im still waiting for cyan,light blue, and orange to arrive.

I love them. But then again you don't have much choice when it comes to light blue LEDs. All I can say is that they have about the same intensity/brightness of their white counterpart, which is exactly what I wanted.
Hm, well, I'd consider them to be pretty bright. They are rated at "brightness 600 MCD" at an 80 degree angle which equates to 0.882 lumens.Nope, you've convinced me!
I don't have many references besides the "normal" white 2x3x4mm. They are about as bright as a Ducky Shine II on max brightness, maybe even brighter? Sorry if that's not much help.

I guess they will just relist it like you have to do on eBay sometimes. I will be getting a note from them with what they have and how they can deliver it. I guess I'll be ordering at least 10,000 LEDs in various types / colours so I hope they'll accommodate me.

I'm guessing cyan. The cyan leds are definitely more green than the advertisement on aliexpress shows.
any idea how long do they take to ship after payment ?

Yeah they do take some time to process. I think it took 4-5 business days for me with my first order.

Placed the order on Aliexpress 8/22/14.
Arrived at my doorstep (West Coast USA) 9/16/14, so about 3 weeks.
Methinks it's time for a GB.
And just checking, have you run a GB before? While this seems simple, adding more colors will make this one a ton of work. It might be worth running just 2-3 colors max at a time. It will cut down on the stress of it.
My top 3 are probably cyan, sky blue, and pink... I would probably order 2-300 of each. If one or more of those gets pushed back to a possible later round, that's fine by me if it simplifies things for you :thumb:
