I'm trying to figure out how to make my own Finger Trigger USB Cable which is shown in the photo below:

As you can see the index finger for the glove has a white button and when it's pressed with the opposing thumb it makes the barcode scanner device execute a barcode scan.
My question is as follows:
What USB wire colors need to be soldered to the button switch so that the USB cable sends a triggered message to the barcode scanner device to perform a barcode scan?
I'm guessing the data wire in the USB cable is one of the wires that needs to be soldered to the button switch. Does anyone out there have a guess as to what other color wires need to be soldered to the button switch? Any opinions welcomed.
