I basically had to write an entire paper on why my parents should let me go

It worked, so I'm not complaining in the slightest.

It worked, so I'm not complaining in the slightest.

I did that once for when I really wanted something. I didn't think the paper was that good, and just picked the item I wanted kind-of at random, but they really liked the paper, read it to all the relatives, etc. It worked much better than I imagined.

In short: Don't underestimate the power of writing a persuasive piece to your parents.

Tow tell me what this is for again? I sorta lost track what with all the acronyms

I went to I52 and they had a Dota tournament there but there were literally no good teams playing. All the "pro" UK teams are sat at like 4-5k MMR... At least I got to shake Pyrion Flax's hand.

But you are going to be able to see *THE* TobiWan in the flesh. That man is one serious caster. The video of him commentating on a 3 minute team fight without breathing is, well, breath taking (hue)

I literally have no idea what Kappa means. It pops up everywhere on twitch chat and /r/Dota2 and I have no idea what it means, who it is or where it's come from.

I'd go, but right now, it's either Hoff's meetup, or ESL...Hoff's meetup is winning.

What is the significance of that? Is it like an irony mark (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irony_punctuation#Irony_mark)?

this dude, Josh was one of Justin.tv's worker when Twitch was justintv.

And yeah it's supposed to use as an irony mark.

I almost made it to redbull BG, but I didn't have the time.

I'm probably gonna meet up with Bruno, and most definitely gonna meet up with EE-sama (I mod his chat...).

I was gonna go to battlegrounds Detroit...had a friend working the event and he could've gotten me front row w/ media access...couldn't go because I had to train new employees and had a meeting prior to the start of the semester...the amount of sadness was unbelievable.

Nope :( Wish I could tho. If they ever organise any events in the UK or EU I'd try to make it this time. Frankfurts ESL was the bomb. :(
