Title: Touchpad anyone?
Post by: vimx on Wed, 03 September 2014, 14:46:10
Is anyone here a fan of touchpads?  I was eyeing up the Logitech T650, especially with the new firmware that makes it work for all OS platforms.

Ooh. I haven't heard about a new firmware. I have a T650 sitting here on the desk, not powered because of the lack of gestures and customization, at least compared to the Magic Trackpad on OS X with BetterTouchTool. I'll have to check it out.

That does look pretty cool. I switched to the Apple trackpad in 2010 and really like it. I don't game, but I do break out a mouse when I'm doing a lot of detail work in Photoshop, otherwise I'm 100% trackpad now.

Excellent.  Let us know how the firmware update goes.

I have a trackpad on the left and a trackball on the right of my keyboard. I have been using the Apple one for a couple years. I use it just for gestures and use the trackball for everything else.

If Apple would release a USB version of their touchpad, I'd seriously consider one.  I'm not going to use anything wireless, ever.  This (http://www.amazon.com/Mobee-Technology-Power-Bar-Rechargable/dp/B006W5FIJK) does not count as it still uses bluetooth for data transfer.

I use the Magic Trackpad when I'm just using my computer for general usage, then I breakout the Magic Mouse for gaming (which is just painful after extended periods of time). I like the Trackpad because I can use my computer without getting cramps for hours. Sadly, it doesn't match my Ducky in color and size  :(
