Title: Anyone notice that USPS flat rate prices went up?
Post by: ComradeSniper on Sun, 07 September 2014, 20:12:59
Just realized that the shipping price on all of my eBay keyboard listings went up from $17.45 to $17.90 for a large flat rate. Looks like online shipping prices are unaffected, but in store ones went up slightly for flat rates. Dunno if non flat rate shipping was affected.

I still get quoted $15.80 for large flat rate boxes on USPS.com.  I wasn't aware that it's more expensive when shipping through Ebay as I don't sell there.  I mostly sell through Amazon.com and if you buy shipping through them it's always the exact prices you'd pay if you were to go through USPS directly.  Why is Ebay more expensive?

It's only $15.80 to print the label through eBay, but I just select the large flat rate option for all my listings and it automatically sets the price at the in-store price. I think of the extra money as an eBay/paypal fee buffer  :p

It's just ebay. They are probably simply trying to overcharge shipping to sellers since they are taking a percentage of the total postage now as well.
