One of the switches is broken, so it would be nice to replace the unit if it's not too expensive.

Maybe you can make something like this work?
Aside from that, maybe you can post a WTB for a broken HHKB and harvest the part needed.

Oh, also: take a look at hasu's custom controller for the HHKB. Might be something you'd want to ask to be added to the list for. It might be awhile before you ever get one though.

Could probably find what you need on Mouser : http://www.mouser.com/Electromechanical/Switches/DIP-Switches-SIP-Switches/_/N-5g2s?P=1z0x3z4Z1z0z2xx&Keyword=dip+switch&FS=True

I can sell you my HHKB Pro 2 controller if worst comes to worst, been using a teensy forever.

I was going to suggest this next. A good amount of custom options have been put into the wild for the HHKB, so maybe someone is willing to give up their controller.

OK. I should have been a bit more specific. Rather than asking for a place to buy DIP switches, I should have asked: "Does anybody know an exact DIP switch unit that is 100% compatible with the HHKB Pro 2?"
I do want to get a teensy, but I think I want to use the teensy externally, since I like the usb hub to connect a mouse. I was hoping to find a nice casing for the teensy, so that it will just look like it's part of the keyboard cord. If anybody knows of such a casing, I would be very thankful for any links to a store that sells them.

Got any pics of the current HHKB2 dip switch? Would need pics of what is there already, preferably with a ruler to view the pin spacing.

Seems like OMRON A6TR-6104 can be used, nearly but not exactly same though.
I guess Topre uses a Japanese mfr like OMRON or NKK but I couldn't found exact one.
General piano switches that are 2.54mm pitch and rows are 7.62mm separated also will fit, note that height is around 5mm and on/off position.
How did you break it? for just curious.

Cheapest option is to solder 2 wires to come out the back of the case and tape them together if you need the switch "on".
