Just bought a KUL ES-87 Tenkeyless Keyboard for my Mac. Aside from the blue LEDs (why blue? why?), I've really digging the weight and key feel and sound. And as a great bonus F7-F12 keys are controlling volume and media playback just like the stock keyboard.
BUT, there is also this row of keys that do nothing on a Mac.

To me, these are wasted keys — is there any way I can reclaim them to do something useful?

Look into Karabiner for OSX (formerly KeyRemap4Macbook). You can do all sorts of nifty things with it. FYI, OSX interprets those keys as F13, F14, and F15

Aha, thanks! I may have to make get some custom keys for those once I figure out something useful to map them to.
