Thanks for helping me figure out that a filco ninja cherry mx brown was what i was looking for instead of another das keyboard ultimate.
Curse you for the obvious depletion of funds that is coming.
I put blue then red (both) WASD orings on my ninja and it is as quiet as i could ask for with the tactile response i was looking for combined with short key travel.
The only complaint I could muster is that the keys are a little more slick than i would care for.
I remember the grittier feel of old shool keyboards from the 80s.
I cant wait to test out some pbt keys to see if they are as good as the old stuff.
I think if I can sidetrack myself here for a few months I might be able to save money vs the flashlight and knives I have been buying.
Anyone know what the equivalent keyboard would be to a Vinh light from cpf (locally modified by an expert with overseas/affordable stock) or a Fiddleback Forge knife from bf (custom, made by hand with proven parts not the newest materials but the best for the task)?
Thanks again,
TY

Welcome to Geekhack!
Your discourse on flashlights and knives has gone right over my head.
Like an airplane :p
But you can't go wrong with a Filco - one of the best standard keyboards.

Thanks for the welcome.
I'm sure someone will know what I'm asking :)
It shouldn't be too far a stretch from flashlights to keyboards and I assume everyone knows the difference between O-1 and CPM S35VN ;)

They have different letters in them :p
