Is that ... a good price for 122 Model F's?
-
They're not horrible prices, but I'd bet they'd take $125 without breaking a sweat, and maybe even lower.
And as far a pricing that industrial with a low starting bid and no reserve, bold move, let's see how it plays out...
-
I really want one of these!
-
Sometimes they go for ~$100. I haven’t seen any selling for much less than that in the recent past though.
-
The price always depends on your patience and luck and time invested searching for one. I paid mine for much less, but was lucky and more than that, I found someone selling the keyboard with the screen and made a very good deal to buy only the keyboard since the seller didn't really what it was worth. But under 100$ would be a better price more since you need to add shipping after that.
And I waited months to find this deal and have only got another good deal since then, so maybe 2 good deal in near a year of searching? As I said, depend on your level of patience!
The same seller is selling all 4, make an offer for what you think is a good price and hope the seller will accept it.

6110345's are a little more rare than 6110347's. The cases of the first three F's are in seemingly good condition. With a good wipe down, they'd probably look great. Thus, given their condition and rarity, $150 seems a little on the high side but not unreasonable. Not a 'great' deal, in my opinion, but not bad. Anyone who's considering buying one should make an offer, though; somewhere around $100. However, if I was in the market and really wanted one, I'd probably pay $150 if it came down to it. 6110345's don't come around in that condition, for that price, often. NCBound sold a 6110345 in very good condition for $150 recently, but that's the only one that's been up for sale in the last 3 months.
-
Someone bought one. Any way to tell if it was for the full $150.00?

I think if it's best offer accepted the sold page shows the original price struck out. Don't know that you can see *who* bought it on a BIN though.
-
Oh boy.
Maybe my dream of obtaining a 122 F is not lost...
*prays to the eBay overlords*
-
I agree with the other opinions. I've seen some go for considerably less, others for somewhat more. Make an offer and see what happens.

it'll tell you if you hit "print" in the case of this one (http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-Model-F-122-Key-Clicky-Mechanical-Keyboard-May-1985-6110345-RARE-/291239524269) it was the full price. (like so (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=175690&item=291239524269&rt=nc&print=all&si=Kcf5dxE4rUGWhdxELxnMusTZZtU%3D))
I got my F122 for about $50 shipped, but I was very fortunate, and it was some years back before prices started to ramp up. Nowadays $100- $125 seems to be the going rate.

I'm gonna save some of the more 'fixer upper' F-122s for you guys.

I'm gonna save some of the more 'fixer upper' F-122s for you guys.
Probably a good idea: there are some people here who can fix them, and it'll save your ebay from potential unsatisfied customers. Just be sure to take good pictures of the damage so everyone knows what they are getting into.
If you want to list them here, be aware there is a post count requirement to use the classifieds.

First, model F is worth much more than the model M because they are better (capacitive and nkro = feel better and perform better). Also, they are not worth 150$ imo unless they are either in a pristine condition and/or fully restored and tested. But it mostly depend on the condition and also the willingness and patience of the buyer. I was super lucky to get one for 65$ + shipping, but I had to wait a LOT for that and had to contact the seller to split another sale in order to get it. But around 100$ is a good fair price for a used one in "normal" condition, so not perfect but not overly in bad condition.

Your keyboard is very common, and not particularly desirable. The Model F is much rarer and has higher demand, because model F switches are nicer to type on, the keyboard has a metal bottom, and it can be very easily rearranged to standard ANSI layout.

Post them here (http://deskthority.net/marketplace-f11/) on Deskthority, no rules :)

it can be very easily rearranged to standard ANSI layout.
to be fair, the same is true of the model M version.

Key bit: “very easily”. Doing a bolt mod is substantially more work.
