Title: Best Wireless Wheel Mouse
Post by: Tiramisuu on Fri, 12 September 2014, 14:29:30
I settled on the logitech mx performance a few years ago as the best I could get.   The only draw back was it used logitechs dingle instead of Bluetooth.

Has a mouse been made that beats the MX Performance since?

Been wondering the same thing! I'm on the previous model and it's on the way out, been thinking about moving to the Performance MX.

The madcatz rat 9 looks interesting but I haven't tried it yet.

As a both a gaming mouse and as well as a wireless mouse, the Logitech G602 is faaaaaar better than it.

If you're not interested in gaming, I still think the Logitech Performance MX is the best wireless mouse.  I know you have to use their dongle instead of Bluetooth, but I find that it actually works better than Bluetooth mice, less disconnects, less lag, and better battery life.  At least the dongle is really small.

I really like my mx performance mouse but it's damned annoying bringing the mouse home and realizing the dongle is still at the office.

You can buy a second dongle to leave at home for about $10. that's what I did! Eventually I also bought a second performance mx mouse and also the smaller version for when I travel :-[

Bluetooth isn't all that it should be because the older 2.4 Ghz wireless beats it in performance and reliability.  I in fact have one machine connected to an ancient Microsoft "Natural" Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 series.  Built in December 2007 and still working like new today in Windows 8.1 Pro (go figure), the beauty of it is the OS naturally installs all it's drivers automatically.

Still using the same battery that was installed in December 2013.  Amazing how long a Microsoft input device can last when used infrequently  :thumb: .
