Title: Fried Chicken
Post by: tp4tissue on Mon, 15 September 2014, 02:29:17

KFC is good too, but because they use a Pressure-Fryer,  their Fried chickenbreast usually comes out too dry and of a Weird mushy texture..

What are ya'll fav places for chicken... ??

Popeye's has not only great chicken, their biscuits are like biting into a butter cloud of euphoria.

Pfft. Church's biscuits make Popeye's buscuits seem like someone wiped a troll's ass with it.

As to actual chicken, home made fried chicken is where it's at.

I agree homemade retains the Uber-Freshness..

However,   the grease smell gets stuck in your house for like 2-3 days, Even if you do it right under the cooking vents..

Honestly  I would totally go the homemade route, if the above weren't true..

I've not had the churches biscuits...  Will try them nex time..     BUhhhh... now that You said they're SO MUCH BETTER than  popeyes biscuits,   that's honestly setting the bar pretty darn high...

I specifically go to Popeyes in the surrounding low income areas during lunchtime, that's the Freshest time of the day with the most traffic, Everything is Right outta the fryer..

They put a light honey glazing on them. Delish.

One thing I learned was to avoid Popeye's on Tuesday evenings. They have some kind of special going on and the drive-through line circles the building and backs up traffic for a block.

I'm not kidding. It is really good.

My father would disagree. His generation prefers fried chicken from A&W with root beer.
