Post by: Z Redux on Thu, 18 June 2009, 00:57:02
Link. (http://cgi.ebay.com/Datahand-Personal-Edition-briefly-used_W0QQitemZ260429106239QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPCA_Mice_Trackballs?hash=item3ca2c8cc3f&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1205%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50)

I found this while perusing ebay. I don't follow Datahands, so I have no idea if it's a fair price or not. They do seem to be rare, though.

Just a heads-up for anyone interested.

ALL keyboards should have that extra chip. I told Lowpoly that for his miniboard as well.

It just needs to work right.  My Northgate is programmable, but the programming chip has a known glitch in it that causes the 'board to spaz-out and causing not to output keystrokes.  When you reboot, it just outputs random keystrokes whe you press a key.  You have to shut down the PC and reset the keyboard.  It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's a pain in the a*s.

As far as I can tell it has the world's lightest keyboard switch - it's a magnetic switch.  Lightest except for that weird DIY British guy's that looks like an Organ keyboard.

Tim Tyler looks familiar.  "Imagine all the keyboards, imagine how light they'd be, ...."

I like how they include a pic from the movie "Contact".   A itty bitty Jodie Foster there.

Are you sure it isn't Jodie 90?

That closeup of the DataHand explains a lot, it probably isn't as hard to learn as I thought.
