Title: Why are car dealerships so clingy?
Post by: nubbinator on Fri, 19 September 2014, 23:08:44: Seriously, you buy a ****ing car and they turn into full on stage five clingers. It's like you knocked up their daughter in the deep south or something, they just won't leave you the **** alone. Why can't I just buy a car and be left in peace with it, making my monthly payments with no other interaction than that.

Whereas I had to fight for free oil changes. The one cool thing is I might get a free Car and Driver subscription and ticket to the car show, but they may think I want to buy another car now as a result of clicking on the link from them.

But I have never spent more than £1000 on a car. I bought a Vectra with a 2.6l V6 in it off a friend for £200. It was a LOT of fun.
