Seriously, you buy a ****ing car and they turn into full on stage five clingers. It's like you knocked up their daughter in the deep south or something, they just won't leave you the **** alone. Why can't I just buy a car and be left in peace with it, making my monthly payments with no other interaction than that.

I'm actually alright with their clingyness...It usually results in free oil changes and tire rotations in my area.

Whereas I had to fight for free oil changes. The one cool thing is I might get a free Car and Driver subscription and ticket to the car show, but they may think I want to buy another car now as a result of clicking on the link from them.

I think furniture showrooms are worse.

Well, at least now I know if I ever get a new car I will need a restraining order to go with it.
BTW, I have never owned a new car, hell I have never paid more than $2300 for a car.

This is why I go car shopping on Sundays. It is illegal to sell a car here on a Sunday so all the dealerships are closed. The newest car I have ever bought was the wife's Buick. It is a '06 Lucerne bought last summer.

You should go on the last Saturday of the month if you want a good deal. That's when dealerships are trying to get up to their quotas and they will just throw cars at you. (reddit.com/r/askcarsales)
But I have never spent more than £1000 on a car. I bought a Vectra with a 2.6l V6 in it off a friend for £200. It was a LOT of fun.

As soon as I bought my car, I added all the numbers besides the dealership's main number to my block list. So like the Salesmen's and Financial people.
