They're all nice but I prefer the first option then the second if I had to choose.  I'm boring, though, and like clean and simple stuff, generally.  Those pad printed RGB caps are purdy.

great collection, but IMOP you need more BS boards to pan out your collection- simpler looks classier to me

i do agree with sent that the rgb in addition is purdy............

I'm not sure exactly what you mean about more BS boards. Care to explain?

I suppose he means Buckling Spring (switch mechanism) used in all Model-Ms  8) .  You just need to buy more Model M's and Model F's (why not) before you can stand proud here on Geekhack as a true IBM aficionado.

I have this board, the Kentucky board mentioned, the Model M the RGB caps above came from, the M13 the black caps came from, another SSK, and a F XT. I think I have more buckling spring boards than any other switch I own....

I think he means it is too busy with all the novelties on one board.

However, you have so many BS clacks, you'd need a hell of a lot of M's to make each board look "simple".

If I had to pick, I'd do just the OG tri in the first pic with only the silver checkkeys.
Or the Salute in the "esc" spot and leave the RWB where they are and get rid of everything else.

I've never been a fan of RGB sets but I *love* those Kentucky Wildcats modifiers. That last picture is my favorite.

For some reason, I've always liked putting on novelty caps in the following order:

- Escape
- Print Screen/Scroll/Pause cluster
- F9-F12
- F5-F8
- F1-F4

This order just looks really nice to me. However, the YUCK is cracking me up so keep those as is. I think you should swap the ClickClacks to the F9-F12 cluster and keep the YUCK where it is. Put the F1-F4 caps from the M13 back into the F1-F4 cluster. Also, feel free to put other words. I really like "Cutey", "Cute", or "Nuke" (http://words.jspell.com/anagrams-of/Kentucky).

I really like the one with the RGB mods.  Is the blue a different shade than is usual?

Can you take a shot with the stock keys??    Love the Clacks!!    Didn't even know that some of those were out there?

I like the blue mods better. I think it would look even better with blue on white alphas. Still, in the end, just choose the one you prefer since it's you that will use it everyday!

And whatever you choose, using a SSK is already a very good decision in itself!

That's kind of what I was thinking he meant, but I wanted to let him explain himself instead of assuming his meaning.

I can agree with him and Sent. I'm actually quite partial to the first setup as well. It is simple and clean. But I also love everything else I have posted, and they can only go well with each other (aside from the CCs, of course) as they're all pad printed, and other BS caps are not. I contemplated taking some of the CCs off, but I won't do that. This is their home. They only belong here. I don't like having them and keeping them stored until I decide to use them. If they're not there, then what's the purpose of having them?

I've never been a fan of RGB sets but I *love* those Kentucky Wildcats modifiers. That last picture is my favorite.

I know you so well. I figured that would be your sentiment. Personally, I know some people would go with the entire KENTUCKY F row, but I just can't do that. What do you think about F5-F8? Would I be better off just moving the CCs there, and putting F1-F4 black caps on? I also never truly planned to use the blue Esc, so maybe I can drop the OG or the Salute there.

right...............too busy

I think the board would look awesome with just the og on esc.
