Title: US/Russian keyset needed
Post by: telegraphist on Wed, 24 September 2014, 14:41:09
I am looking to purchase a keyset made of preferably thick PBT with double-shot etching, or other quality etching used with an US/Russian layout.

I am using standard TKL boards, like a CM QFR, or WASDkeyboard TKL.
Anyone is willing to sell such a set, or two, or steer me in a direction where I could purchase such a set?

Doubleshot PBT is near nonexistent,

If you're looking for PBT you want dyesubbed printing for best quality, and for ABS you want doubleshot printing for best quality.

If you're willing to take the risk and order from a disreputable vendor, originativeco.com has some GMK doubleshots with cyrillic.

maybe imsto has extras? these would be dyesubs however.

Or IvanIvanovich or try the classifieds. They would be the ones from Imsto or Ivan GB and they would be thick pbt dyesub. Probably your best best I think.

those are BSP, they won't work with a QFR/filco/whatever

The alphas with Cyrillic legends won't fit? And the number row and function keys and home cluster and arrows?

Sure, but the bottom row wouldn't. He would need to get a moogle kit for that.

Of course it's up to the buyer, but that would be a lot of money to drop for a set that wouldn't be 100% compatible, he'd have to source new bottom row modifiers and a compatible spacebar.  BSP PBT is pretty fantastic though so it might be worth it to him!

IMO it's a waste to buy a BSP set and then not be able to use the whole thing
