Title: LED Color Changers
Post by: Butthurt Tumbleweed on Thu, 25 September 2014, 20:53:14
I have never owned a mechanical keyboard and am hoping to get started with a tt esports Poseidon, but I plan to build a computer soon with a glowing purple theme. Poseidons only come in blue LEDs apparently.
So of course LED color changers for mechanical keyboards (basically a colored plastic piece that fits over the LED) caught my eye.
But would a purple color changer look purple on a blue LED? or would it look more blue? would a red cover make a blue LED look purple?

Looks like you want a keyboard with purple LEDs  :))

Although from a serious view, don't use color changers. They don't have great compatibility with keycaps at all.

Get red led changers because blue + red = purple. Or am I insane?

I think that only works for paint not light.

The reason I'm trying to get the Poseidon is the price. I think the color changers are still a good idea (if I change my computer theme, color changers are cheaper than a new keyboard)

Are there other keyboards at around the same price with white LEDs? (and I NEED my keypad )

If you're planning to build a PC you should focus your budget on the parts first. You can get away with using a subpar keyboard you have lying around until you have enough money to get a nice keyboard.
