Title: Difference between Ducky Zero Shine and Zero Shine Zone
Post by: shifted on Fri, 26 September 2014, 09:01:39
Does anyone know the difference between Ducky Zero Shine and Ducky Zero Shine Zone?

I have a Ducky Zero Shine keyboard with red switches that I got maybe a year ago or something I don't exactly remember.  I play games a lot and see it preached everywhere that linear switches are for gamers so I went with reds after trying blacks and felt those were too stiff.

Yesterday I was in Best Buy and ran my fingers over one of the keyboards they had on display with brown switches.  It was the first time I had used browns and I was amazed by how little I could feel the switch yet there was still noticeable resistance.  Almost like a really good normal rubber dome keyboard (don't hit me for explaining it like that, lol).  I was expecting them to be like blue switches which I had used but they are nothing like blue switches.

Anyway, I have decided I want basically my keyboard with brown switches so I head on over to mechanicalkeyboards and see there are two models that seem about the same.

Any know the difference?

Ducky Zone has zone lighting meaning its lighting is similar to G710+

Other than that, theyre practically the same
