Title: Model M (1391401) Stabilizers
Post by: hanshan on Fri, 26 September 2014, 12:37:19
I should have posted this in the "Simple Questions board", but couldn't find the thread starter button ...  anyway,  there is no stabilizer insert in the empty tube under the space  bar - this apparently is standard? -  is there a reason NOT to add one there - or is it simply superfluous?

some older model Ms have no insert on the vertical stabilized keys and model Fs have no insert on any key. in this case, all are stabilized by a metal torsion spring.

it is superfluous for the spacebar or any other key with a metal bar stabilizer.
