Title: Elitekeyboards and their shipping notifications etc
Post by: Fragil1ty on Mon, 29 September 2014, 11:16:57
Hey guys,

So I went ahead and ordered the KUL ES-87 from EK the other day and I got confirmation that it had come out of my paypal account and stuff like that, but I've had no notification that the keyboard has been sent nor have I had any tracking number etc.

I went onto their website and this was what I found:

Quote
Once your order is received and accepted a confirmation e-mail which includes an order summary and shipping information will be sent to the e-mail the order was placed with. ]If you do not receive a confirmation within 24 hours, please check your e-mail spam/junk folder before contacting our support team.

I've had my receipt from paypal saying that I've paid for the keyboard, but nothing else, as shown here:

ES87U-CL-BBB-AL KUL ES-87 Tenkeyless Keyboard (Cherry MX Red)
Item Number es87u_cl_bbb_al   $129.00 USD   1   $129.00 USD

Should I just wait a few more days and maybe it'll show up in my inbox?

How long ago did you order it? It's 0930 in California right now. From my experience, they don't notify of shipments until the end of their business day, so I would give it at least another 12 hours. Maybe even another 24 on top of that.

Relax. If nothing happens, you have a large window of time to file a dispute.

^ This, it can take a couple days before they actually email you the shipping information.

Ordered it on Wednesday, but they wouldn't have got it until Thursday as it was late at night, around 9/10PM (UK Time).

Just curious really as they don't have like an account section, so that's how I usually track all of my shipments and what not, but I'll just give it a couple more days and what not, it is coming from America after all.

I just ordered some keycaps and it took about a day for them to send me an email with shipment confirmation. I'm in the states also. There is a tracking number, but the only update is the day it was picked up on the 25th.

From my experience purchasing from them it is usually 2-3 days before something ships and when it comes to CONUS shipping they ship fedex which doesn't always updated until it is really close to being delivered, so for CONUS anyway you can have 2-3 days 'processing time' and then 2-3 more days after it ships before the tracking updates, depending on how far away you live etc.

Brian and GH had a "falling out" of sorts when EK stopped carrying Filcos. He doesn't even visit anymore.

In my experience they usually ship keyboards the next day. Smaller items may take longer. Shipping notifications are often 24 hours late, I suspect they have to enter them by hand.

I think he had a falling out over more than that  :))

I got a notification that my item had been shipped, will get my tracking number in a few days and what not, so that's good.

One other thing that I've noticed is that this keyboard is highly praised, like it's got amazing durability, got amazing features (media keys, sturdy board, dip switches) etc.

But I can't really find all that many reviews about it? I've found only 1 on Youtube, maybe 2 on the web and only a first impressions here on GH, is this not a board that is commonly used over the other competitors e.g. Ducky, Filco?
