Title: keyboard woes
Post by: Touch_It on Tue, 30 September 2014, 19:24:31
Was playing a game today on my keyboard and my "see" as in the letter stopped working.  Sadly this is on my daily driver.  photo below for model due to typing not working so great without all of the letters.

A stash of blue Montereys would be very nice to have, if that is what your keyboard uses.

I would be interested in buying a few if anybody parted out a Monterey board.

lol correct forgot to mention that.  it does use them, witch makes it harder to find a replacement switch :(.

I've been looking for one to do just that, so keep your eyes open

There must be at least one key you can live without, e.g. scroll lock or one of the function keys. You could swap the switches across.

Assuming the fault is with the switch (and not a bad solder joint or controller failure) you could try opening the affected switch and see if you can correct the fault, but as a note, they're hard to open and even harder to reassemble.
