Title: Are key switch samplers worth the money?

I have a poker II with Cherry Mx Blues on currently, i've heard from alot of people that the reds are horrible to use however i love the sound of them over the blues but im not too sure if i want to invest the money into a keyboard with different keys as i dont want to waste my money if i dont like them, so are key samplers worth it ( one with each key type) i heard browns are nice but they just dont have the same sound as red :D

I don't think browns and reds have a really different sound. A red switch doesn't really make any sound, apart from bottoming out.

Anyways, I'd say a switch sampler is most definitely worth it. Keep in mind that pressing a key on a sampler is not the same as typing on a board with said switches.

Reds are pretty commonly found in stores selling mech keyboards as they're in almost all the gaming boards. Alternatively if you know someone with a mechanical gaming keyboard they'll probably have reds. Switch samplers are fine for trying one switch but it doesn't tell you much about the actual typing experience.

Personally I love reds, I don't know how anyone would find them horrible but people have different tastes I suppose.
