Title: Need help deciding on 2nd keyboard please!

Currently have a QFR with mx reds. I know I want a full size back lit keyboard with mx blues for my bday. I'm currently looking at getting a ducky shine 3 white backlit, but I was wondering if there were any alternatives that I would like more.  Thanks I appreciate the help

There are other alternatives, but I don't think you'll like them more.

Déck Legend and Hassium Pro (weird legend on the keycaps, but decent quality board and the keycaps actually feel nice to use), Tesoro Durandal, Max Keyboard Nighthawk, previous generation Keycool 108, KBT One, Corsair K95, CMStorm Trigger, Logitech G710+, etc. Lots of lesser known brand boards, too.

IMHO, the Ducky Shine 3 is the best backlit full size mechanical board, though.

The Ducky Shine 3 is a great choice and I think that is more than adequate for what you are looking for, I was going to suggest a Filco, but that's not backlit, so.. yeah.


Just go with the DS3.

Perhaps you'd like to branch out into different switches. Topre, Buckling Spring, and Alps are all popular options.

Unless you really want white backlighting, I would wait for the Ducky Shine 4. Same price as the Shine 3, but slimmer. They ditched the glossy frame and two obtrusive knobs.
