Title: Hey there
Post by: bl1nk on Thu, 02 October 2014, 06:52:56
Hello GH!
I've been registered for some time now, but never posted or participated in anything on this forum. That is going to change now, I hope.

After buying a KBT Pure with browns, Filco Majestouch 2 with blues and a Poker II with clears I'm still not sure what switch to call my favourite.
I might sell the Poker II, clear switches feel a bit too heavy for me. The Filco seems okay, still I want to try some linear switch next, maybe topre.

Nice to meet you all

Good to meet you, welcome to GH!

You could always switch the poker to ergo-clears! Switch out the springs for something softer and lube it up a bit!

I might try that. Still not sure about that bump without the satisfying click.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Topre are probably a bit less of a linear switch, and not something to be taken lightly ;)

You could try MX reds, which are a liner version of blues.  MX blacks are a bit too stiff for many people.

I did actually just buy another Poker II with reds, just have to wait till it ships.

Cool!  Let us know what you think of it, but give yourself a week or two with it to overcome any initial preconceptions.

I concur! Give yourself some time, maybe a long time with decent mileage on each board. Or just hoard 'em and rotate between boards :P
