When an infection does occur in humans, there are several ways the virus can be spread to others. These include:
• direct contact with the blood or body fluids (including but not limited to feces, saliva, urine, vomit and semen)
of a person who is sick with Ebola
• contact with objects (like needles and syringes) that have been contaminated with the blood or body fluids of
an infected person or with infected animals
sensitive topic i think :-X
I think the USA's biggest problem with handling Ebola will be arrogance and apathy.

Sorry, I should have clarified: I am annoyed about the medias portrayal of how serious the U.S. "outbreak" is. The situation in West Africa is most certainly a sad and serious one, and I meant no offense.

The story I'm hearing is the guy pretty much knew he had ebola and came to the usa to get treatment (since it's been broadcast we can 'handle' it) and was initially turned away and sent home only to get sicker and it is too soon to tell if anyone else has already been infected.
I find it hard to believe they really isolated everyone since initial number of contacts was 18 and is now as high as 80.

If it gets bad enough, the U.S. will lock it's borders and not let any air crafts into our airspace. It's only one guy in texas, plus 100s of others that were exposed. As long as they didn't touch his bodily fluids they should be alright. It's all blown out of proportion right now...
Anyone been keeping up with CNN? I now they like this kind of stuff. "OMG blue fin 21 broke! They're not going to be able to find the missing flight for a day....Show Image(http://www.cute-factor.com/images/smilies/onion/th_001_-v2.gif)"

No more group buys for a while -- you just know an organizer is going to contract ebola if they start a new GB.

I'm a little concerned since there are tons of keycaps sitting in Texas right now. ???
Makes the thread asking if people wash their keycaps before using so much more relevant now.
Also I just had a package ship from Amazon's shipping center in Dallas, TX >:D
Please excuse my as I've been reading conspiracy theory stuff again
But there is a vaccine

Was just informed a distant relative has pulled her kids out of school and will be homeschooling them now because of ebola. #lolwhut

Not too sure about that. Someone with this level of intelligence is likely to spray Lysol on her hard drive to get rid of a computer virus...

All intelligent people use Windows 98. And that is a proven fact. You just can't dispute settled science.

Does anyone else here think it's pretty messed up that some certain media sites are capitalizing on spreading ebola panic?
