Title: IBM Beam Spring on eBizzle

I know some of you are looking for a beam spring board. This price seems high to me but I'm no expert on these so maybe this model is rare? Looks like there is about 20lbs of steel under this bad boy!

It was a bit of a relic even then, but it was all they had at the education building to connect to the internal IBM VM system. Ah memories...at the time I was developing software for OS/2.

Post by: REVENGE on Thu, 02 October 2014, 18:46:52: I thought I dropped big bucks for my 3101/3727. In retrospect, that was a sweet deal for a like new beam spring, I haven't seen anything close to as nice except for the NOS scores by those certain European collectors...

This one is priced pretty high for a dirty board, you can get cleaner ones for less if you bide your time.

Its been sitting on a shelf for 20 years and I wiped it off with a paper towel before taking the pics... didn't want to break anything :D

Mine was $75 and they were under $100 regularly until xwhatsit blew up the scene.

About it being dirty, cleaning it well will make it more desireable, but most people are more worried about the condition of the internal plate. Part of why mine was so cheap is the plate is all corroded. I have another one I am working on for another GH'er that the plate is in absolutely pristine shape. Such a one would be worth significantly more.
