Count chocula :cool:live hand grenades
Breakfast for me: 1 banana, 55g oats, 55g nuts, 75g frozen berries, 50g protein powder and 260ml water. Put it all in a blender, blend it and drink it. I prepare this the evening before and put it in the fridge overnight. No hustle with breakfast and no hunger before 10-11am.That's very exact.
Anything with too much sugar/carbs will make you sleepy... cereal, high-carb bread, pancakes, etc., are all sleep inducing -- unless you combine them with a protein source (eggs, bacon, salmon, tuna, beans, etc.)
Processed food is generally worse for you than something natural... Pop-tart << fruit cup < actual fruit.
Pick the protein source first, then add some carbs (fruit, yogurt, toast, quick oats, whatever) and make sure it has some fiber in it.
Whatever the hell you want. You're an adult, what kinda question is this?
Have beer and ice cream is you so choose!
Also: hungry by 9-10? What the hell time do you get up?
There should be no reason why one cannot throw 2-3 eggs into a frying pan to make a quick and healthy breakfast.
Sometimes I do 3-egg omelettes with whatever materials I may have on hand, or 2-egg scrambled eggs if in a hurry.
On weekends, I break out the French crepe pan for crepes (less healthy) but totally delicious :D
Other days I pre-soak muesli (lots of almonds) in grass-fed milk and eat it in the morning, totally effortless and delicious.
Breakfast is usually accompanied by a home-made cappuccino, but I don't think coffee is for everyone.

Hmmm
Typically caffeine + meal is to keep you alert despite the insulin crush..
So I wonder if a high carb meal is at all good for breakfast..
During the week I'm up at 5am and out the door by 5:30am so not really any time to cook.Mmm, those would be good with some caramelized onions in smashies!

SO.. I've found that a BIG breakfast, makes me want to go back to sleep
But.. a Small Breakfast, leaves me hungry by 9-10am...Show Image(http://www.clubtuzki.com/avatars/tuzki_2013_avatar_13.png)
This morning we had canned tuna.
I had root beer this morning for breakfast.
cold pizza or cold fried chicken with a beer.
100g of almonds. Surprisingly filling and quick and easy to eat

why cold?
cold pizza or cold fried chicken with a beer.
why cold?
Lack of ability to see straight enough to run the microwave due to drinking the night before.
Well I didn't have that for breakfast today. But I have been known to eat cold pizza and cold fried chicken for breakfast. I am actually not much of a beer drinker. Though I do enjoy a good dark beer from time to time. I really don't drink that much anyway. My first bottle of good rum lasted me almost 2 years.

2 Years ?
A bottle of good anything lasts me 2 weeks tops.
I eat a microwaved breakfast burrito everyday, have done this now for probably a year.

So I had to eat something else today because due to car troubles no grocery items were purchased over the weekend.....I had to settle for an apple and a slice of cheese.

I raise the question:
Is a ****ty breakfast better than no breakfast at all?

Yes, that is abnormally early for an unemployed basement dweller, but it's difficult to sleep in when you still wet the bed every night.

The answer is no. Skipping breakfast isn't bad for you.

I'd think that'd really depend on how demanding your mornings are..
I wake up and jog.. so, if I skip breakfast, I'd probably fall asleep @ 8am..

Exercise pre-breakfast can be fairly beneficial, since your body is having to rely on burning adipose tissue for energy. Using that metabolic pathway is reasonably proven to have positive health implications, e.g. cholesterol levels, insulin sensitivity, weight loss/maintenance, etc.

Eating before you run is not convenient
you need to wait at least an hour to an hour and a half after eating before serious running.. other wise side stitch can quite readily occur..
