Title: How do I rebind these keys on a JIS keyboard?
Post by: de_milk on Fri, 03 October 2014, 23:15:40
My keyboard is JIS layout and via PS/2 to USB adaptor. How do I rebind the three keys beside the spacebar and the key to the left of the backspace?

As far as I know there are two ways:
  - By software. Personally I use http://www.autohotkey.com/ (http://www.autohotkey.com/) for windows, https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/ (https://pqrs.org/osx/karabiner/) for osx.
  - Hardware. Replacing keyboard controller by teensy or some controller.

For Windows it's better to use sharpkeys (https://sharpkeys.codeplex.com/). It changes it at the registry level so it's not possible for programs to ignore the remap like can happen with ahk.
