hhkb is my fav board.
i dislike that it's 45g and case mounted.
55g plate mounted would make this board 110% better.
-
ducky shine 2 with stock clears
it sucks I can't buy another one
-
KUL
it's not a GON
-
Kishaver
It's not in my hands...
-
22Mini-EX. All the switches are upside down so the LED's are up top. Bothers the **** out of me. Not sure why Kaliet did a bunch of the 22's this way. None of my other boards from him were like this.
-
IBM Model F 122, ANSI Modded.
The size. This thing is so big that I get shoulder pain if I try to use my mouse to the right like other keyboards. Chop off the numberpad, slim the bezels and this thing would be perfect.
Such a beast almost exists, too... the Unsaver, as well as the Kishsaver's 77-key sibling. Those are rather hard to find though, and still have the thick bezels.
-
Happy Hacking Professional JP 45G
It doesn't have an aluminum case.
It doesn't have a steel plate.
It doesn't have a HASU Controller.

this is one thing i don't like about older keyboards.
i love the SSK, but the huge case makes me not want to use it. just takes up too much space and it's tall as hell. granted, i'm used to my hhkb and anything bigger than it looks huge but still.
-
Duck orion
I can't buy one :(
-
Matias Tactile Pro 4.
Hate: Mac specific, Cheap looking glossy plastic, tall typing profile, still moves around too easily (needs more rubber on the bottom.)
60% Alps gravy train can't get here soon enough!
... People are also listing keyboards they can't afford/obtain - make mine the KingSaver. :'(

yeah and i wish they didn't.
-
uTRON i hate because expensive *sorry weak reason :))
-
IBM 3278
Too tall... It's really uncomfortable without some kind of rest.
Not standard ANSI layout :(
Doesn't have a converter installed yet
Honestly, those first two might kill it for me once I have it converted. In which case, 360c will be my favourite. Only thing I hate about the 360c is that it isn't beamspring switches :))

My favourite keyboard is my kishsaver and I hate that I can't use it at work.
My other favourite board is the hhkb and I hate that I need a custom controller to have a delete key on the base layer.

456 GT and the fact I don't have it ;)

Quit your job and look for another one. Before hiring, put in your contract that you require the tinsaver as part of the job.
-
456gt
it doesn't produced in blue :-[
-
My Poker II with Green on White ABS Double Shots.
My Tex Case and Granite R2 are still in production.
-
HHKB
There's no black Type-S

Perhaps you should ask how your fellow mods have their keyboards setup, because their delete keys work exceptionally well.
There are no dip switches that allow delete to work without pushing a function key beforehand. I want delete on the base layer rather than a function layer. I would be ecstatic to be proven wrong though. :D

Kishaver
It's not in my hands...
This.
-
Absolutely in love with my hhkb but I wish keycaps were more widely available for them.
-
– My favorite keyboard: FILCO Ninja TKL MX Red.
– What I hate about it: no Micro-USB detachable cable.
-
.
-
Realforce 87u
What I hate about it ?
The price.
-
HHKB Pro 2.
It's not a Type-S 55g with a black case and steel plate (not sure I really want the steel plate, however).
-
I kinda like the Realforce and hate that it doesn't have volume control!

Although you seem to have missed my point... I will help you. With dipswitch #3 turned to the OFF position, where one would usually find \| would be Delete, without the use of a Fn key, on the base layer. Pressing Fn + this key should be Backspace. Flipping dipswitch #3 to the ON position changes that key to Backspace on the base layer, and moves Delete to the Fn layer, on the `~ key. Is this not your experience?
edit: It should be noted that I think this doesn't work properly when dipswitch #2 is turned ON with #1 turned OFF (Mac mode). Try keeping #1 and #2 off, and see what happens. And then try #1 ON and see what happens. Also, you must unplug before changing the switch, then replug it in for the changes to take effect.
my guess is that he wants both on thr base layer.
same thing nubs was complaining about.
-
The only mechanical keyboard I've owned is my Corsair K70 and I love it!!
But... it really could do with a few more function buttons in my opinion. I got used to an old dell keyboard I had with buttons for launching things like the browser, "My Computer", calculator etc.
-
Ergodox, its not buckling spring.
-
My Tipro.
My jailhouse blues on the Tipro, which are still not fully consistent.

Yep. I should have clarified that I want the backspace in the superior spot and delete on the base layer in the upper right. I don't have it in front of me right now, but IIRC the delete key doesn't even have a use on the base layer, just the function layer. But I'm not positive. Anyway, I've accepted the fact that I will need a custom controller and that's fine. :thumb:

Time to plug that nice teensy into the hhkb and make it your slave.

Ergodox, its not buckling spring.
than you will need a m15
-
another favorite keyboard is utron.
The price :-\

Yes, just noticed that you are correct. I alternate between a HHKB Pro 2 black and RF 87 ub black on my Mac. The HHKB Pro 2 has volume controls in the Fn layer, and when remapping my RF with Karabiner remapping software, I had automatically set up volume controls and didn't even notice they were not intrinsically present. The Rf is such a great keyboard, I can forgive its lack of a built-in volume control. :)
-
no volume control? no problem!
get yourself a griffin powermate. they have both a usb version (windows/mac) and a bluetooth version (mac only)
handy little things imo
-
My Kingsaver and HHKB are tied for my favorite. Hate that there are no Artisan caps for the Kingsaver, and hate that I can't get an Alu case for my HHKB.
-
HHKB Type-S. I hate that it slides around so much.
-
My Realforce would be perfect if it had a detachable USB. I can't bring myself to defile it with a dremel just yet.

digilog case! or whatever its called
-
my FC660C
i hate that the mods arent standard sizes and im basically screwed swapping out some stock mod keys with anything else. However the new dyestubs are of fantastic quality so its really no biggie.

Oh no!
The numpad is the entire reason that I got started on these behemoths.
Now that I am accustomed to it (again), the left side function keys rule.
HHKB Type-S. I hate that it slides around so much.
One of my EPDM keyboard mats will help with that quite a bit.

Noppoo Choc Mini.
That they break far too easily and don't have a very high QoS rate, they are mass manufacturer in China and because of this, a lot of them break after a good few months and that's what I hate, I find myself spending $100 every 6 months because it has began to show signs of wear and tear.

digilog case! or whatever its called
My body is ready but my wallet isn't quite yet.

My favorite keyboard is the SIIG MiniTouch with the blue SMK switches.
I hate that the PgUp, PgDn, Home, and End keys require the Fn key.

Where does one even buy a digilog case nowadays?

My favorite keyboard is my customized Filco, and the only thing I don't like about it is that the aluminum case is so freaking heavy. It sucks because it gives the board the stability and zero flex I want, but a modern TKL that weighs 7+lbs is ridiculous. But what can you do? You want that feel and stability you have a metal case, and aluminum is the lightest material cases are available in.
Maybe someone will make a carbon fiber TKL case.

Do you have a build thread or photos? I love seeing modded filcos.

My DIY ergo board.. I hate that I used such poor plugs / sockets on the connecting cable between the halves, I have to make sure they're seated every time I adjust the position of the board. Definitely using RJ11 plugs on my next version.
2nd favourite is my KBT Pure Limited with Hammer plate and modded ErgoClears with white LED's. I hate that it doesn't have GMK Dolch keycaps on yet, but only a few weeks to wait now.... drool....

Here are some older photos, it hasn't changed too much though. I still use her every single day ;)

My Ducky Mini nordic :)
Wish I had gone for a different switch than brown since I had brown on my old noppoo.
Really want to test out clears.

Mimic (http://www.mimic-cables.com/collections/sleeved-cables/products/custom-usb-cable) can make a USB cable with the Realforce connector. I think those are going to be next on my shopping list.
I love both my Realforce keyboards, but I wish they had a DIP switch to swap the Windows and Alt keys to create a proper Mac layout. On the variable silent, it would be nice if the home row were all 45g. Methinks it's time for some modding to take care of that.

Man, that's a beautiful board. I love the keycaps in the first picture with it.
And I agree, I'd be willing to drop some dough for a carbon fiber case on my Filco.

I have the same problem. Can't 6019284 at work. :(
Other than that, I love my Kingsaver with Complicated Blue Alps switches but hate that it doesn't seem to be grounded correctly. Or that it doesn't play nicely with my apartment's electrical system. And that its impossible to get fun colors for the keycaps nor are there many novelties for Alps switches.
