Title: What joysticks/HOTAS/pedals/yokes do my fellow Geekhackers use?

Just curious to know what flight setups you guys use! I'm a bit of a joystick enthusiast, and I'm sure there are a few others on GH who love their flight peripherals as much as I do!

Post pictures of your setup/simpit/whatever if you want! :)

My prized gear is my CH HOTAS, Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, Pro Pedals. I love CH gear to death, everything they make is fantastic. I've been using their equipment for a long time. Not pictured is my Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and TrackIR5.

I have a few retro peripherals as well. The CH Virtual Pilot Pro yoke, and CH Flightstick Pro are about 20 years old, and work like brand new still. I have a Rockfire gameport to USB converter I use with them every once in awhile. I also have an ancient Gravis Analog Pro joystick, and a Gravis gamepad. I have a Sidewinder 2 that's not pictured here as well, which has the original USB adapter.

If anyone has any questions about flight sim gear, I'd be happy to answer! I've owned or used alot of the equipment that is out on the market right now (CH, TM Warthog, X52 Pro, Logitech Extreme 3D, etc).

Yeah, I would love to have Crosswinds or Simpeds but they cost a fortune that I'd rather spend on other toys.  ;D

I didn't realize VKB has pedals now, nice. I like the look of the Fat Mamba, especially with the Warthog grip.

What sims do you fly?

I don't use pedals, but I do have a dream of getting a trackball for the feet. It could be really fun. But of course that trackball will need to be dirt and impact resistant... something used outdoors.

I actually tried using one of them CSTs since they are so dirt resistant. Can't quite control it well with my feet though, or else I would be taking that mouse off my table.

That's a neat idea. Imagine how efficient you could be if you never had to take your hands off the keyboard. I don't think my feet are agile enough to control a trackball though.

This reminds me, I need to get my hands on a trackball..

Those look awesome. What did you use to control/program them?

Different things. Keyboard Controller (from a Cherry 1851), Encoder (Joystick Emu for Arcade) or some cheap Joystick PCB.

I went looking for a Joystick when Elite Dangerous came out, and found a good deal on this x52. I'm also using a TrackIR 4. Unfortunately it has been some months since I have time to play  :(

Nice! I had an X52 for a bit. I found it a little too light on buttons for a lot of sims, like DCS A10C and the like. To fly the A10C I think I needed like three or four function layers and it was really complicated. I did enjoy it though, nice stick and throttle for the price.

I actually haven't played Elite in months either, I've been meaning to though!
