Post by: fl0w3n on Fri, 10 October 2014, 15:25:48
Was shown these on eBay.

These get posted about once a month, they should be cherry mx blacks and prevoiusly were only $25 shipped.

A similar find listed here: http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=49736.0 (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=49736.0)

Just a quick readthrough of the thread suggests that the board uses pcb mounted black.  The model numbers with nBLT seem to be non-backlit versions of the small keyboard.  The 2KRO is noted, and would probably be annoying.

From the manufacturer's site:http://www.tg3electronics.com/product/backlit-blt-series (http://www.tg3electronics.com/product/backlit-blt-series)

I believe that's the TG3 BL-82 but with the touchpad. It's often called the Cop Car keyboard because that board and the TG3 BL-82 were in Crown Victoria police cruisers. They seem to be coming up a lot as the Crown Vics get phased out. I believe they have the splashguard and have MX Black switches. I can't remember if this one is backlit but my BL-82 is backlit with red LEDs.

nBLT means non-backlit. I got a NIB one once from eBay. Keycaps are SP doubleshot.

Are these vintage blacks?
No. These are relatively new boards.

What you get
 - 82 PCB mounted mx blacks
 - Rubber dome spillguard. If you like really stiff switches, you can cut these in pieces and use on other boards.
 - SP doubleshot keycaps, all in top row height except for space bar
 - 1 plate mounted stab.  Space bar wire is in weird length
 - USB cable and some electronic parts you might use ie. trackpad click buttons, 5mm green LED.
 - Plate works pretty well as a lubing station
