I just upgraded to a Zowie FK1 from a random Logitech mouse, like it a lot. Great scroll wheel, great side button placement, great switches.
My only complaint is that it's too flat -- I wish it had a bigger "hump" to fill the palm. My palm ends up hovering above the mouse. I guess it's good for "claw grip" or whatever, but I'm not a gamer.
Any recommendations? Is there a Zowie like this, or something similar from another brand?

Consider the Steelseries Rival. Same 3310 optical sensor. I have one and really like it.

oops. i just posted this in the wrong thread :X

Maybe try the older cousin the EC evo

The Zowie FK1 looks very basic, so I can't judge what mouse type your are from that, but I just recently aquired a Roccat Kone XTD (Optical) and totally love it. It's a fingertip/claw grip mouse. Super build quality with a silent but ohsogoodfeeling wheel and click actions, plus the rubberized sides feel as smooth as the back of my HTC One X. The software/driver package is also great. But it's expensive though.

both the EC1 evo and the EC2 evo are solid. I'm on the EC1 evo because I have bigger hands, about the size of a DA

OP — If you are looking for an ambidextrous mouse with a bigger ass, you might want to look at the Mionix Avior 7000. Depending on the size of you hands it might fit the bill.

For a comfortable bigger mouse you would probably look at a Deathadder (Either the New Chroma, which is just a RGB color update and nothing else, or the 2013 edition) or G400s.
These have the "bump" or somewhere that your palm can rest on, so I would recommend these as top choices.
As someone said, Rival has the same sensor as the FK1 so you might be interested, but it's quite the opposite; people find it almost too big.
Sensei raw for the minimalist ambidextrous mouse like the FK1, but a bigger size.
